Fragrance composition:
Escentric 04 is an exceptionally fresh interpretation of sandalwood, corresponding with crisp, bitter notes of pink grapefruit peel with a touch of lime zest. Juniper and pink pepper are also noticeable, giving the whole thing an additional boost of freshness. The heart of the fragrance is iris and "soft rose," composed of four different rose ingredients. The final notes are balsamic and woody—Javanol combined with the slightly sweeter sandalwood molecule—Polysantol.
Fragrance History:
Escentric Molecules Molecule 04 was launched in 2017. It contains the unusual ingredient Javanol, which was created in a laboratory at Givaudan in 1996. "What I love about Javanol is its almost psychedelic freshness. It smells as if liquid, metallic grapefruit peel had been poured onto a bed of velvety creamy roses," says Geza Schoen, the fragrance's creator.
