Usage:
The green powder is poured into the chawan cup using a bamboo chasaku spoon. Water at 70°C is then poured over the tea and stirred with a chasen whisk until a thick froth forms. A weaker and more delicate version of the tea, usucha, is prepared from 2 bamboo teaspoons of the powder and 70 ml of water. Then, stir the tea vigorously, using M-shaped movements. Stronger tea, koicha, is prepared with 3-4 bamboo spoons and 40 ml of water. Koicha is a thick infusion that is stirred gently in circular motions.
