Fragrance composition:
The fragrance opens with a combination of agarwood and benzoin with a slightly smoky accent, all emphasized by the aroma of blackcurrant. Then Bulgarian rose with geranium and juicy raspberry comes to the fore, enriching the entire composition with a rich, floral aroma. The base notes are based on aromatic accords of papyrus, green notes of birch oil, and smoky incense.
Inspiration for the fragrance composition: The Desert and the Sown
The author of the novel "The Desert and the Sown" is Gertrude Bell - a British traveler with an extraordinary biography, who explored and vividly described the Middle East. The borders of later countries were marked based on cartographic records of her expeditions. It's no wonder that Gertrude's figure so strongly inspired perfumers to create this beautiful perfume.
Gertrude traveled with bandits, was imprisoned in a harem, and in her work captured the way of thinking and life of the people she met during her journeys. Everything associated with the Arabian region – the dry desert wind, the nomadic Bedouin tribe, mysterious women and influential sheikhs – appears in this oriental fragrance.
