The sensual composition of Parfums de Marly Layton Exclusive is the incarnation and a more perfect version of the original Layton fragrance. The opening notes feature fresh bergamot, mandarin, and grapefruit. The scent then beautifully develops with sensual notes of rose, gardenia, spicy cinnamon, and civet. The base of the fragrance is a distinct accent of Paraguayan guaiac wood, Laotian oud, Indonesian patchouli, and oakmoss.
Fragrance History:
This fragrance, which belongs to the oud fragrance group, was created in 2017 by Hamid Merati-Kashani. Oud is a wood, usually agarwood or aloe, infected with a certain species of fungus. The scent of oud is pleasant, balsamic, woody, and also takes on a slightly sweet character. Oud scents have a mysterious property of changing over time, taking on new, surprising facets.
