VeganPeanuts are the fruit of a subterranean nut tree, belonging to the legume family. This annual plant grows to a height of 30-50 cm, and its yellow flowers resemble pea flowers. Raw peanuts taste similar to beans.
Roasted peanuts are used in cuisines around the world, particularly appreciated in Chinese and Asian dishes. In Poland, they are most often eaten with beer or wine, but in America, for example, they are used to produce the indispensable peanut butter.
Peanuts are among the most common allergens, so caution should be exercised when first consuming them. If you are not allergic, enjoy them to your heart's content. 100 g of peanuts covers as much as 120% of the daily requirement for folic acid, 75% for niacin, over 50% of the daily requirement for phosphorus and 30% for potassium.
