Fragrance composition:
The fragrance opens with ginger and citrus combined with notes of exquisite saffron, which was grown especially for YSL in the Ourika gardens in Morocco. Then you'll smell orange blossom and aromatic lavender, which gives the fragrance a slightly masculine touch. The base of the fragrance is composed of warm vanilla, honey, and vetiver.
Fragrance history:
Libre means freedom in French. And because freedom as a value was very precious to Yves Saint Laurent himself, the Yves Saint Laurent Libre Le Parfum fragrance was created. This is the most intense and spicy fragrance in the Libre perfume line.
The bottle, which emphasizes the intense character of the fragrance, is distinguished by sharp, straight lines, a gold neck under an asymmetrical cap, and a gold logo wrapping around the glass bottle. This time, however, the contents of the bottle are significantly darker than its predecessors. They have a reddish, even fiery, hue.
